Doors:       8.30pm
Admission: €5

Daragh Slacke, a regular on the local music scene for many a year, is releasing his first album entitled “Songs in the key of Slacke”. The songs are a collection taken from many of Daragh’s past musical ventures and in particular from a recent journey through Africa with traditional balladeer group, 'Whiskey You’re The Divil'. Young Slacke studied Jazz in Paris (2006) where he also performed with Peter ‘Midi file’ Sheridan in well known guitar duo, 'Brouhaha'. Other notable rock bands he has been involved in over the years range from Strad 1 to Ian I Brow. Lately young Slacke has been working as minstrel in residence in the Gonzo Theatre Cavan and has been scoring plays for playwright Philip Doherty.

Talented songster Ciaran O’Neill will be playing support on the night. Other musicians appearing alongside Slacke include Dwayne Kiernan on drums, Fabiano Gillick on bass, Cathal Johnson on blues harp, Philip Doherty on filth, and well known Carnaross uilleann piper Stevie O’Brien will be appearing as a clown.

This night full of musical entertainment will take place at the Gonzo theatre on Sat 29th Jan and promises to be a good one followed by an after show party in the same venue that will last late into the night.
